The 143-kilometre route with an elevation gain of 1,920 meters leads through the beautiful landscape of the Ötscher-Tormäuer Nature Park. Starting in St. Pölten, you will experience the picturesque Texingtal valley, gentle hills and challenging climbs. Highlights such as Plankenstein Castle, the beautiful and secluded Schlagerboden and the impressive view from Annaberg to the Ötscher with its rough ridge make this route a real eye-catcher. A perfect blend of sporting challenge and untouched nature.
- Route description Landhaus St. Pölten – via cycle path to Spratzern – Obergrafendorfer Straße to Völtendorf – Schwadorf – Pummersdorf – Völlerndorf – Ebersdorf – Obergrafendorf – Klangen – Bischofstetten – Kilb – Kirnberg – Texing – Plankenstein Castle – Schlagerboden – Puchenstuben – Lasingrotte – Annaberg – Türnitz – Freiland – Lilienfeld – Traisen – from Traisen to St. Pölten on the Traisen cycle path
- Parking In the area of the government district, paid underground parking spaces are available (partly free of charge in the evening hours and on weekends)
- Getting there Access by car via the A1 and S33, motorway exit St. Pölten-Nord or St. Pölten Ost.
- Public transport St. Pölten is easily accessible by trains from ÖBB and Westbahn. The main station St. Pölten is only a few minutes by bike from the start and end point.
