Description

The tour starts at the Sulzbichl in Puchenstuben. The hike begins leisurely along the Trefflingbach stream through a beautiful ravine forest. You follow the lovingly laid out path over bridges and footbridges as the water cascades over 120 meters into the Erlauf. This makes the Treffling Falls one of the highest waterfalls in Lower Austria.
Once you reach the lowest point of the hike, the crystal-clear, turquoise Erlauf is a great place to cool off before you make your way back up the impressive Treffling Falls to the starting point. Afterwards, a stop at the Trefflingfallhütte or Trefflingtalerhaus is well worthwhile!
