Kirchbachstadl, Brettersäge open-air museum, Funcourt and the "Paradies am Großen Kamp"
Make sure the route you choose matches your fitness level. Check whether the catering establishments you want to visit on the way are open. Pack your charged mobile phone and map material in your backpack. For cross-border routes, always carry a passport or ID card.
Sturdy footwear, functional clothing, sun and rain protection, map material, if necessary telescopic poles, first aid kit (blister plasters), sufficient provisions (snack, muesli bars, fruit, water).
You follow hiking trails 8 and 9 uphill through the small village of Selbitz, cross the street and continue along it towards Kirchbach. You are now in the foothills of the Etzner Graben. Once you have passed the old elementary school (now home to a graphic art cabinet), you are almost in the middle of the village of Kirchbach. Now walk along the Kirchbach stream heading south (also trail no. 6). Going downhill, where the Kirchbach flows into the Kamp on the left (you briefly see the main street), turn sharply right and enter the "Paradise." What more could you want! The "Paradise" is a particularly beautiful section along the Kamp, which you stroll upstream. At the Kamp bridge, follow the white teddy bear trail signs to the right towards Reichenbach. There awaits you the "Kingdom of Heaven." Enjoy the open view here!
Passing the stone image column, follow trails 7 and 11 back towards Kirchbach. Behind the church, the fire station, and the Gasthof Kapeller, you can let off steam again at the Funcourt (playground with slides, ropes, trampoline, basketball court, etc.) before exploring – or passing – the Brettersäge open-air museum, returning to the ski lift and perhaps stopping by the Kirchbochstadl. You may even have met "Burgl," the hiking spider, on your way. But that is another story…Parking available in Kirchbach (fire station, Gasthof Kapeller)
