Description
Sports field, forest pool, Rappottenstein Castle, Schütt stone wilderness, Anna Chapel, Rappottenstein town center
- safety instructions Make sure when choosing your route that it matches your fitness level. Check whether the restaurants you want to visit along the way are open. Pack your charged mobile phone and map material in your backpack. For cross-border routes, always carry a passport or identity card.
- Equipment Sturdy footwear, functional clothing, sun and rain protection, map material, if necessary telescopic poles, first aid kit (blister plasters), sufficient provisions (snacks, muesli bars, fruit, water).
- Route description From the town center, you walk downhill along the sidewalk of the state road to the sports field. You leave it on your right and head towards Kleiner Kamp. You cross it at the wooden footbridge and turn upstream towards the concrete plant and forest swimming pool. At an inhabited old mill and a small parking lot, you turn right and soon walk idyllically along the Kleiner Kamp. Shortly after, a left-turning path enables the ascent to the castle. This goes steadily uphill, but perseverance is worth it! You descend back the same way from the castle and continue along the Kamp until you reach a passable bridge. Following the Teddybärentrail, you cross it, pass the Ödmühle, and make a small detour to the Annakapelle by turning onto path No. 10. You walk briefly along the service road but soon turn right again and head up the climb to the Annakapelle. At the top, a rewarding view of Rappottenstein Castle awaits. The return path to the town is signposted and leads very comfortably through the open countryside.
- Parking Parking available at the building yard (= Rappottenstein No. 38), or also at the sports field
