Start at Kirchberg train station, follow the railway path towards the level crossing, cross the railway tracks and follow the street “Soisstraße,” after approx. 4.5 km turn right onto the Rehgraben farm road, at the next opportunity turn right again and follow the road towards “Thalhof”; before the old gravel pit enjoy the view of Hohenstein, continue on the gravel road towards “Schrofen,” downhill to “Klein-Winkel,” here turn left, after approx. 200 m turn right onto the Pielach valley bike path, on the left side next to the Pielach is a rest area for relaxing, follow the Pielach valley bike path for approx. 4 km to Kirchberg Castle; in the castle park you can rest at the Dirndloase, behind the castle follow the Schlossstraße to the right, turn left into Friedenstraße, then right into Bahnhofstraße – starting point.
Coming from Vienna, take the A1 to the St. Pölten South exit, B20 to Spratzern, then right onto B39, continuing to Kirchberg an der Pielach.
Coming from the west, take the A1 to the Pöchlarn exit, at Mannersdorf onto B215, via Mank, Massendorf, Kettenreith and Marbach to Kirchberg an der Pielach.
