Hardegg (290 m) - Kaja ruins (360 m) - Retz (252 m)

A quiet farewell to the wild Thaya valley: along the Czech border, the trail winds its way through rustic meadows to the crossing, where the Thaya almost touches itself and the view of the Umlaufberg is impressive. Past the Kaja ruins, the landscape changes: the first vineyards, gentle slopes and a windmill as a signpost. And finally Retz - with a wide open space, deep cellars and the end of an unforgettable journey.
