The stage begins in Heidenreichstein and leads harmoniously along pond and forest paths through gently rolling hills. You reach Waidhofen an der Thaya via Brunn and Jasnitz. This charming town is surrounded by a well-preserved town wall and boasts a baroque church, a lively old town and the Theater an der Mauer. Here, history, culture and enjoyment come together in a unique setting.
Highlights along the stage:
After starting in Heidenreichstein , the trail winds through the municipal forest and past the Winkelauer Pond toward Artolz and Buchbach. Forest and field paths alternate along the route. Passing through Brunn and Jasnitz, the Thayatalweg finally approaches Waidhofen an der Thaya, where the stage ends in the historic town center.
