Description

The route is partly on asphalted paths and partly on beautiful forest and meadow paths, with several rest stops along the way. The route is particularly suitable for families with children, as it can be completed in 1.5 hours. The magnificent view of the Türnitzer Höger, the Kräuterbachtal valley and the village of Lehenrotte rewards hikers when they reach the Himmelalm. There you are treated to a good snack in the Ottokar Kernstock house and can try out the Russian skittle alley. If you hike another 10 minutes up via the hut, you can enjoy a magnificent view from Am Ratzeneck. To the east, you can see the Klosteralpe and Hinteralpe with its refuge, the Reisalpe and the Schneeberg. If you look to the west, you have a magnificent view of the Dürrenstein and the Ötscher.
