Ideal for anyone who longs for relaxation and fresh air.
The tour meanders along the Traisen and Gölsen rivers, past flowering meadows and impressive views. Cozy refreshment stops and sights make the tour the perfect mix of nature enjoyment and sporting activity.
Please observe the road traffic regulations! Groups with children are advised to dismount and push the bike together when crossing roads. Caution at railway crossings!
No special requirements for the bikes. Helmets are mandatory for children under 12 years old.
Route: Starting point City Hall St. Pölten – Traisental cycle path – Wilhelmsburg – Traisen – Gölsental cycle path – through Wiesenfeld (detour Wiesenbachtal to Hasenwirt, or to Schwarzenbach, Gh. Hollaus) – on the Gölsendamm to St. Veit sports facilities – cross the B18 at the traffic light – through the town of St. Veit/G. – cross the B18 again – Rohrbach/G. – Hainfeld (brewery) – Landstal – Ramsau – up over Fahrabach – down over Brennhof to Kaumberg. Return on the same route.
Travel by bus or train to St. Pölten main station is possible.
Along the way are Wilhelmsburg outdoor swimming pool and Hainfeld, Ochsenburg castle, Kreisbach castle, and the Araburg ruins.
