The lonely, forgotten Troppberg between Gablitz, Purkersdorf and Rekawinkel is one of my absolute favorites - not only because of the magnificent view; its light-flooded beech forests, the silence on its paths and the intact nature over long stretches also make it an absolute insider tip.

Description
A particular highlight of the route is the 542-metre-high Troppberg, on the summit of which stands the Troppbergwarte. This viewing platform offers a panoramic view of Vienna, Tulln, the Wachau region and the Alpine foothills with Schneeberg and Ötscher. The route also leads through the core zone of the Vienna Woods Biosphere Reserve, a natural jewel with diverse flora and fauna. The varied mix of asphalt, gravel and forest paths makes for an exciting cycling experience.
