The "Türnitzer Bahnradweg" was created on the former railroad line, which was shut down in 2001. The starting point is the district of Freiland, where the connection to the Traisental cycle route is also located. The cycle route runs for around 9 kilometers along the Traisen, over bridges and through three tunnels with a total length of over 300 meters. The route is a very special tip for families with children thanks to the almost non-existent gradient and the fact that it is completely separated from road traffic.
Further details about the route can be found in the clear information sheet about the tour: Download here!
Starting at the Freiland entrance, the bike path runs along the former railroad right-of-way through three tunnels and over several bridges, completely separated from public road traffic, all the way to Türnitz.
