The Parapluiberg and the Wohnhöhle are two highlights of this hiking trail. Past vineyards of the Traisental wine country, along the edge of the forest and through lovely villages with playgrounds, the scenic circular trail leads back to the starting point. There are benches and tables for resting on the Parapluiberg and at the cave.

Description
Starting from Nußdorf, the trail leads uphill through vineyards and orchards to the viewpoint on the Parapluiberg and on to the cave. From both locations, you have a wonderful panoramic view of the Traisental wine region and the foothills of the Alps as well as the Danube valley and Tullnerfeld. Return to Reichersdorf via the Neuweg and the Weinbergweg back to Nußdorf, with playgrounds for children also enriching the hiking tour. Once you arrive at the starting point, there are various wine taverns or inns where you can stop for refreshments. You can also buy wine or fruit juices from the many top wineries or in the village shop; you will also find information on this at the starting point of your hike.

- Route description Nußdorf town hall Market Square 1 – Parapluiberg – Wohnhöhle – right towards Reichersdorf – past the playground – at the war memorial left past the wayside shrine back via Neuweg and Weinbergweg to Nußdorf
- Parking In front of the town hall in Nußdorf or in the immediate vicinity.
- Getting there Via the A1 motorway and the S33 to Nußdorf ob der Traisen – exit "Traismauer South"
- Public transport By train to Traismauer or Herzogenburg and then by bus to Nußdorf ob der Traisen.By bus coming from Vienna via Traismauer or from St. Pölten.
- Editor’s tip Good footwear, binoculars, camera, and plenty of leisurely time make this hike an experience.
