The tour is extremely challenging, so we generally recommend the following gear outside of the event:

• Closed-toe trail running shoes with treaded soles suitable for off-road running.
• A running backpack with drinks and snacks for self-sufficiency
• Waterproof jacket
• Extra clothing: long pants or leg warmers plus a long-sleeved top or short-sleeved shirt with arm warmers. A change of clothes appropriate for the weather
• Warm jacket, gloves, and hat. The weather can change quickly at higher elevations or in the wilderness, even if it’s still warm in the city.
• Headlamp with spare batteries or rechargeable battery. The headlamp should have a minimum output of 500 lumens
• Your own water bottle to fill up at the aid stations
• Water bottle with a capacity of at least 1.5 liters
• First-aid kit (1x 10×10 cm gauze pad, 1x bandage pack, 1x self-adhesive elastic bandage, 4x band-aids, whistle, emergency blanket)
• Navigation watch with the GPS track for the selected route saved
• Reflective safety gear, such as a high-visibility vest, reflective armbands, or a reflective hood
• Fully charged cell phone and an additional power bank. The battery can drain quickly in cold weather, so the cell phone should always be carried close to your body.
