Description
The village circuit through Unternberg, a district of St. Corona, is ideal for leisurely walks all year round and is also suitable for hikes in winter. The starting point of the hike is the valley station of the Wexlarena, near the Gruber-List vacation home, which is also ideal for romantic overnight stays. While the children do their first exercises in the snow at the winter sports school, parents can explore the surrounding area on this beautiful trail. The route runs along cleared roads via the chapel to the Feldkasten and a little way up to the so-called Sonnenplatzl and back to the village. This hike can be completed in just over half an hour at a leisurely pace. Along the way, you also have the opportunity to stop off at the Wexl Lounge. You will also pass many farms that are ideal for your next "vacation on a farm", such as the Ofnerhof or the Dissauer farm.
- safety instructions The route partly runs through forests and over unpaved paths. In snowy conditions, the paths are not cleared and may have icy or slippery sections. Use of the trails is at your own risk. It is recommended to be aware of the early dusk and to plan the routes carefully.
- Equipment Sturdy footwear, poles (with snow baskets in snowy conditions), waterproof outdoor clothing, hat, gloves, scarf or multifunctional cloth, backpack, headlamp (days are shorter in winter), sunglasses, sun and/or cold protection, water bottle or thermos are essential in winter. Take a hiking map and your mobile phone and save the mountain rescue emergency number: 140
