Description
The Weningersteig circular hike leads along beautiful forest paths at the foot of the Schneeberg and offers unique views. From Losenheim, you hike across the meadow, which becomes a ski slope in winter, up to the Edelweisshütte. If you want to take it easy, you can also cover this route with the Schneeberg chairlift. At the top of the Edelweisshütte, you have a view from the terraces that extends down into the valley to Puchberg and as far as Lake Neusiedl. It is definitely worth stopping for a bite to eat, as you will be spoiled with culinary delights here. Well fortified, you then hike over the Nandlboden past the Lahning Ries and the Nandlgrat. Via the romantic forest paths, you finally reach the Ferdinand Bürkle refuge, where an annual mountain mass is held. From here, you have an impressive view of the Breite Ries. A few meters further down, you return to Losenheim on a mountain hiking trail.
