Description
The Ysperklamm gorge is a natural monument. This wild and romantic gorge is a wonderful interplay of the elements of wood, stone and water. The Great Ysper, which has its source in the Weinsberg Forest, flows through the gorge over a length of 2 km, overcoming a height difference of approx. 300 meters. In the lower part, riverbank battle structures ("Steinschlacht") remind us of the logging of earlier times. The "Rote Reithbrücke" bridge in the middle of the gorge also allows us an easy descent in between. The upper part is characterized by the narrow gorge, the many climbing aids and the impressive waterfalls up to the "Ödteich".
