Dobersberg

The municipality of Dobersberg - first mentioned in a document in 1112 - is located in the romantic Thayatal valley, surrounded by beautiful coniferous forests. The castle and parish church tower over the village in the district of Waidhofen an der Thaya.

Well-kept restaurants and accommodation establishments ensure the well-being of guests. An extensive range of sports and leisure activities leaves nothing to be desired on a vacation or day trip. There are also numerous beautiful excursion destinations to be discovered that are fun for the whole family.

Dobersberg: hiking, flying and diving

The Dobersberg Nature Park makes the hearts of nature lovers of all ages beat faster: river landscapes, wet meadows and alluvial forest remnants are explored and discovered on beautiful hikes. The Waldviertel diving school offers extensive underwater adventures, while motor and gliding flights are on the program at the Dobersberg airfield. Dobersberg also offers a bowling alley, an indoor swimming pool and recreational fishing.

Sights for the whole family in Dobersberg

The stately Dobersberg Castle, a center of excellence for ceramics, regularly invites visitors to its cultural cellar. Several chapels from the 18th century and the Dobersberg parish church characterize the landscape. In addition, the lovingly decorated Dobersberg Fire Brigade Museum is a particular delight for little "grisus".
