Felixdorf
Ideal for short breaks, vacations with children or time out in the countryside: The market town of Felixdorf - the fourth smallest municipality in Lower Austria in terms of area at just under 2.5 square kilometers - invites you to discover untouched floodplain forests. The main branch of the Piesting runs along the village, which is divided into two side branches by the weir system of a small hydroelectric power plant. These enclose an island overgrown with floodplain forest before reuniting to form a stream.
The "Association for the Protection of the Floodplain Forest and the Environment in Felixdorf" has been based here since 2007. The aim of the association is to protect and preserve the local forests and recreational areas. Its commitment is reflected in ongoing activities such as litter picking, the installation of benches and garbage bins, as well as alluvial forest hiking days for children.

This was built between 1958 and 1960 by Kurt Bartak: over a trapezoidal ground plan with an asymmetrical bell tower.
