Gars am Kamp
The market town of Gars am Kamp is located in the picturesque Kamp Valley ("Kamptal" in German). It belongs to the district of Horn. Under the Babenberg dynasty, the Waldviertel town was temporarily the seat of the Austrian government. Today, 13 villages - including Gars, Thunau, Zitternberg and Kamegg - belong to the municipality, which is considered a climatic health resort.
