Großebersdorf
Großebersdorf in the district of Mistelbach lies at the transition from the Marchfeld to the Weinviertel hills. The market town comprises the villages of Eibesbrunn, Großebersdorf, Manhartsbrunn and Putzing.
Gentle hills and traditional winegrowers are part of the idyllic townscape. Several wineries and accommodation providers - such as the excellent Hotel Stich in Manhartsbrunn - invite you to take a break or spend the night on an excursion into the countryside or for an enjoyable vacation.
The family-friendly community also offers a great program of events throughout the year - including soapbox races, morning pints, wine cellar lane festivals and a summer Kirtag.
Großebersdorf: churches worth seeing
Historic churches characterize all four cadastral communities of Großebersdorf: the parish churches of Großebersdorf and Manhartsbrunn as well as the branch churches of Eibesbrunn and Putzing. There are also some enchanting chapels and wayside shrines to visit - e.g. the statue wayside shrine of St. John Nepomuk in Großebersdorf or the meadow chapel in Putzing.
All cycle paths lead through Großebersdorf
Well, maybe not all of them - but definitely a few particularly beautiful ones: Großebersdorf is located on the popular Eurovelo 9 or Bernsteinweg routes.
