Retzbach
Small but mighty: the wine-growing community of Retzbach in the district of Hollabrunn lies between Retz, the Thayatal National Park and South Moravia. There is plenty to discover here on an excursion with the whole family or as part of an enjoyable short break.
Numerous wine taverns and wineries invite you to take a break and enjoy a snack. If you want to stay longer, you will find comfortable rooms, guest houses and vacation apartments throughout Retzbach. A real family experience is the Waldcamping Hubertus in Oberretzbach - very close to the national park.

The cult site at the Holy Stone is something very special. Here you can visit one of the most beautiful cup stones in the whole country - with a dowsing path and lookout point as well as a wine tavern in the warmer months.
The Angergärten Unterretzbach are a blossoming experience: a diverse, sustainable garden culture is on display along the show garden trail. Some of the unique gardens are even freely accessible.
Last but not least, the Catholic parish church in Unterretzbach is a Baroque eye-catcher: the church probably dates back to 1725 - and was built on the site of an even older, probably Gothic church.
