Strengberg
The market town of Strengberg is located in the north-easternmost part of the Mostviertel on the Moststraße and stretches from the Danube in the north to the A1 Westautobahn highway in the south. Visible from afar on the gentle hills of the Alpine foothills, the village is situated at an altitude of 359 m above sea level. Fortifications on the Danube in Roman times and the remains of the Roman road (Flötzerweg) near the highway are evidence of early settlement in this area.
