Wienerwald
The municipality of Wienerwald in the district of Mödling is located in the northern Vienna Woods. Its area includes the cadastral municipalities of Dornbach, Grub and Sittendorf as well as Stangau and Sulz im Wienerwald. The area is considered a true paradise for horse lovers - with several stud farms and riding stables such as the Wildegg riding stable. The municipality is also a popular second home for many Viennese city dwellers.

Sights in the municipality of Wienerwald
The municipality impresses visitors with several historic buildings: A medieval hilltop castle from the 12th century underwent a Renaissance reconstruction around 1600 - and is now visible from afar as Wildegg Castle. Since 1947, the magnificent castle has been run by the Catholic Youth Choir as a guest house for self-catering guests. Events such as markets and celebrations are also held here. Also worth seeing in the municipality of Wienerwald are the late Baroque parish church in Sulz and the Romanesque parish church in Sittendorf - with its heptagonal tower.
