Damböckhaus des ÖTK

Description

The Damböckhaus is located directly on the "Paradise of Scenic Views" circular hiking trail, a 15-minute walk from the terminus of the Schneebergbahn cable car or the Elisabethkircherl, which was built in memory of Empress Sissi. Guests at the Damböckhaus enjoy the view from the nearby "Schneebergblick" and "Wildblick" vantage points as well as the irresistible "Gipfelstürmer", a lentil stew with smoked meat. Afterwards there is a selection of home-style cooking or pastries. The Damböckhaus has been located northwest of the Waxriegel on an alpine meadow (Ochsenboden) since 1872. Ideal excursion destinations for school classes, company and family outings.

Opening hours: May 10, 2025 until the beginning of November (during the operating hours of the Schneebergbahn)
