Those who do not yet know this feeling or would like to find out, will find splendid conditions for cross-country skiing in the Waldviertel, Mostviertel and the Vienna Alps. More than 800 kilometres of trails go through pristine forests, quiet meadows and past idyllic landscapes. Due to the size of the network of trails there is a trail for everyone, whether you are an experienced skier or a beginner. Standardised signs across Lower Austria also make orientation easier on the trails.

We fully understand that the sport is becoming increasingly popular every year. Cross-country skiing is equally good for the body, soul and spirit. The steadiness of the movement is gentle fitness training, whilst nature and peace come along to us quite naturally. Those who don't have the equipment can hire this in many regions within Lower Austria. A hot cup of tea, a warming bowl of soup or a refreshing beer is served in our restaurants after the skiing.
