Toward the Finish Line with the Sun on Your Back.

The springtime is just the right time to discover Nature when hiking, cycling, staying up high in the mountains or skiing in the sunshine in Lower Austria.

At last, spring has come to Lower Austria! The green shades in the valley and the blue sky in the mountains are invigorating. Escape winter on a bike, tread new trails on a hike or enjoy the sun during the last days of the skiing season in the mountains. A potpourri of culinary tasting trips and excursions make our trip through spring-fresh Lower Austria just right.

Wine spring in Lower Austria is especially festive in the Thermenregion of Wienerwald, along the Danube and in the Weinviertel, where we visit the outdoor taverns according to the old custom and enjoy the new wines. “Just my taste” is the slogan in Kamptal, where drops of Bacchus’ delight in the wine safe await weary wanderers along the Langlois wine trail. But real enjoyment does not start with a glass or on a dinner plate, but long before that in the region in which the delights of the table grow. In Lower Austria this is a well-known fact because here, the soil harbors true treasures. And what is especially practical: You do not need to search long for these treasures, as a colorful sea of blossoms will point you toward unique specialties.

Plenty of Room for Exercise and Recreation.

Hike on the route along the Arc of the Viennese Alps, where an idyllic panorama will leave you breathless. On the Kamp-Thaya-March-cycle path or the Euro Velo 9 we will cycle through the vineyards, wind in our face, stop by for a glass of wine and know that we are finally there - in Lower Austria in the springtime!
