Weißjacklberg

The Weißjacklberg is a heavily forested mountain in the Rax-Schneeberg group. Its peak is located at 805 meters above sea level, east of Gahn (1352 m) between the villages of Buchbach, Gloggnitz and Prigglitz.

Location: Viennese Alps in Lower Austria, Neunkirchen, Rax-Schneeberg group.

The last meters are on a narrow path to the wooded summit. Here there is an artificial stone mound with a summit cross and a summit book.

The area around the Weißjacklberg invites short vacationers, families and pleasure hikers to stay here and hike the landscape.

Tours around the Weißjacklberg

  • An easy and family-friendly hike in the surroundings of the Weißjackelberg leads to the Pottschacher Hütte at 914 meters above sea level. Duration from Prigglitz, one hour.
  • The "Kapellenrunde" is an extended mountain bike tour, starting from Prigglitz with many small highlights along the way. The route has a length of about 11 kilometers. Duration of the tour 1:45 hours. The cyclists can stop at the Pottschacher Hütte.
