Description
Grimsing station is located on the eastern edge of the municipality of the same name in the Lower Austrian district of Melk. The small, beautifully designed waiting berth offers passengers shelter from the wind and weather while they wait and is wonderfully embedded in the beautiful landscape of the Wachau region.
Route information
- The Grimsing stop is located along the tourist route of the Donauuferbahn, also known as the Wachau Railway.
- Trains along the Wachau Railway to Krems an der Donau and Emmersdorf an der Donau stop here when required.
Excursion destinations Wachau
A parking lot and access to the old arm of the Danube is just a 3-minute walk from the Grimsing stop. Long walks along idyllic banks and a dip in the cool water promise a relaxing excursion with guaranteed time out.
As bicycles can be carried free of charge on the Wachau Railway trains after prior reservation, you can also take one of the numerous cycle tours along the Danube and through the beautiful Wachau - here you are guaranteed to find the right mix of nature, sport and culinary delights for every level of difficulty
