Train station Kirchberg/Pielach
Train stationDescription
Kirchberg an der Pielach station is located along the valley route of the Mariazell Railway in the idyllic Mostviertel region. The nostalgic reception building has a publicly accessible toilet facility and the entire station has been designed in the style of the Dirndl shrub. More than 40 parking spaces for cars and mopeds, as well as for over 20 bicycles, have been set up at the station.
Route information
Trains stop here along the Mariazell Railway to St. Pölten, as well as to Laubenbachmühle and on to Mariazell.
There is a bus stop not far from the train station with connecting buses to the town center and Hollenstein.
Railroad in the station
After a renovation phase lasting almost two years, the "Bahn im Bahnhof" model railway museum was completed in 2019. The faithful replica of the Mariazell Railway enchants visitors with elaborately staged superstructures and loving details of the stations, tunnels and bridges along the valley route from Laubenbachmühle to Erlaufklause.
Tip: The visit to the model railway museum can be booked as a combined ticket for a ride on the Himmelstreppe along the Mariazell Railway. This makes the journey to Kirchberg an experience in itself.
