Weingut Walter Polsterer

The Walter Polsterer winery is a traditional family business that has been in existence for three generations and cultivates around 15 hectares of vines. Sustainability is a central aspect of the winery's management, with a focus on effective and targeted plant protection, the use of beneficial insects and careful cultivation of the vineyards.

The winery's main varieties are Grüner Veltliner and Blauer Zweigelt, complemented by a diverse range that includes Riesling, Welschriesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Gelber Muskateller, Rivaner and Cabernet Sauvignon. The white wines are mainly matured classically in stainless steel tanks, while the red wines are matured in oak barrels. Innovation is a central component of the work at the Polsterer winery, with new approaches constantly being tried out and old ways of thinking questioned. As a family business, the focus is on vinifying the best possible wines from the grapes. Quality awareness, professionalism and enjoyment of the work are the cornerstones of this.
