Details for: Circular hike to the Jubiläumswarte lookout post
Brief description
A nice hike over beautiful, but sometimes steep, paths (especially after the "Paradise"). You get a great view from the Satzberg. Children will find the route really long and steep. It is not suitable for pushchairs.
Description
Tip/Fun-Fact: The Steinhofgründe gardens can be admired in all their splendour in late spring, when their fruit trees are in full bloom. An information point offers details of local places of interest, and the Vienna Woods Biosphere Reserve (BPWW).

Route description Circular hike to the Jubiläumswarte lookout post
We start in Rosentalgasse, corner Linzer Straße, and walk along Freyenthurmgasse to Hüttelbergstraße, where we turn right and walk to the recreation area "Paradies". There we follow the forest path to a meadow slope, which we walk uphill. At the top we turn left onto another path through a meadow. Then we come to a path along a fence, where we turn right at the end of the fence and follow the wide paved path. Until we come to a road called Steinböckengasse and follow it uphill. From now on we are on the Wiener Stadtwanderweg 4 and follow the corresponding signs. These will lead us to the Jubiläumswarte and further to Kreuzeichenwiese. From there we descend again on the Stadtwanderweg 4, which after a while crosses Johann-Staud Straße, which we cross and walk into the forest to the left of a parking lot. At the following fork we take the right path and come back to Johann-Staud Straße, where we turn left. Shortly before the fire station Steinhof we turn right into the Steinhof Grounds and from now on we follow the "rundumadum" hiking trail and the corresponding signs. Following the signs, we walk along a wall until we reach a gate. After this gate we turn left and follow the road until we see a "rundumadum" sign at the edge of the forest. From now on we follow the white apples painted on trees. We pass the pond in the Dehnepark on the left and turn left before the small bridge. Following the path we come to the exit of the park, where we turn right into Dehnegasse and follow it until our starting point.
