Description
The castle ruin is situated on the Hausberg from Ried on the Riederberg in the Wienerwald. According to the current state of research, the castle was probably built around 1200. The almost entirely forgotten castle was the power center of severeal noble families for centuries.
Today there are only a few remains of a Romansque round tower ruin, a kennel wall and an outer bailey.
