Description

Weißjackl is a 576 meters high mountain in the Vienna Alps in Lower Austria.

Location: Vienna Alps in Lower Austria, municipalities of Pitten and Seebenstein.

The path to the summit leads along forest hiking trails, past vantage points with great views. Starting point for numerous hikes is the hiking starting point Pitten.

Hike to the Weißjackl

A tour over the Weißjackl is the Pitten circular hiking trail. The starting point for this is in the center of Pitten. The leisurely circular hike extends for about 10 kilometers. At the summit at 576 meters above sea level, hikers are rewarded with a fabulous view of the Schneeberg and the Rax. For refreshment, for example, a stop at the Unger Restaurant-Vinothek is recommended.

  • In Pitten, a visit to the mountain church is also worthwhile. From this vantage point there is a magnificent panoramic view over the valley floor and from the Rax, over the Schneeberg to the Piestingtal.
