Station Aalfang

Train station

Description

Along the meadows and forests, which are so characteristic for the idyll of the Waldviertel, the Wackelsteinexpress drives from Alt-Nagelberg over the Braunau into the station Aalfang. One or the other imposing rock formation can already be spotted. The small old bourgeois reception building adorns the station in the Lower Austrian district of Gmünd. Due to construction work, this station was the final stop coming from Heidenreichstein in 2011 and 2012. It was not until 2013 that rail traffic was extended again to Alt-Nagelberg.
