#Winterlove: the distinctive characteristics of the cold season

Airy, fresh and wonderful: whether we are taking gentle exercise, or charging about like it was nobody’s business, the winter temperatures give our sense of well-being a very strong boost.

Walking with snowshoes or alpacas, fun on the slopes or tobogganing parties, wine walking tours or wellness landscape: the coolest time of the year is here! We are looking forward to these chilly experiences in the green and hopefully soon white, snow-covered countryside.

That moment when the first snowflakes come dancing down to the ground. That moment when you stand next to the icicle-covered summit cross. That moment when the cool temperatures remind you of your joy for life, and what the tranquillity of nature “sounds” like; and how lovely customs and traditional events make the hearts of young and old beat faster. Out and about in intimate togetherness, alone or with the kids - Lower Austria's winter speciality is peppered with palate-flattering specialities and culinary delicacies, wrapped in activities for the mind and soul, and served on a bed of snow and ice under the crystal-clear sky. So that's us from now on: <3 winter love <3

This is why we love winter in Lower Austria.
